Talk:Functions Palette/Programming
Move description
@Q: This page is about the programming palette, but the description explains how to work with the functions palette. I think it makes sense to move the description to the parent page. --Logmanoriginal (talk) 18:54, 1 August 2019 (UTC)
Optional Subpalettes
@Logmanoriginal: you might want to mention that the VI Analyzer, Desktop Execution Trace Toolkit and Unit Test Framework only appear if those utilities are installed. --Q (talk) 17:25, 3 September 2019 (UTC)
- Thanks for the heads-up, these are indeed optional. I was thinking that this should be mentioned on the actual page for the specific subpalette, but it is probably a good idea to mention it here as well. --Logmanoriginal (talk) 17:30, 3 September 2019 (UTC)
- @Q: I made some changes and split the optional subpalettes into a separate section for clarity. Please don't hesitate to make further improvements. --Logmanoriginal (talk) 17:42, 3 September 2019 (UTC)
- @Logmanoriginal:I really like what you are doing with these pages! Keep up the great work! --Q (talk) 17:44, 3 September 2019 (UTC)
- @Q: Likewise, thanks. --Logmanoriginal (talk) 17:56, 3 September 2019 (UTC)
File Location of the Menu (*.mnu) Files
I was thinking to add the actual file locations of the .MNU files but I am not sure where on the page. For example the path to the Programming Palette is: [LabVIEW]\menus\Categories\Programming\dir.mnu. Should this be another section on the page or added to the table at the top? --Q (talk) 00:01, 9 February 2020 (UTC)
- Since there isn't much to explain about each individual palette file, adding it to the table is the best approach in my opinion. --Logmanoriginal (talk) 11:52, 9 February 2020 (UTC)
