Talk:Object-oriented programming
Should this be a Portal Page?
Does there need to be a Portal Page about Object-oriented programming? I added a link to this page from the Architectures and Frameworks Portal and I don't think there needs to be an Object-oriented programming Portal. --Q (talk) 20:46, 12 March 2021 (UTC)
- I agree. There is no need for a separate OOP portal. That said, OOP is a paradigm (like functional, event-driven, etc.), not an architecture or framework. --Logmanoriginal (talk) 19:20, 13 March 2021 (UTC)
- Do you have a suggestion of where it should be linked? I think it needs to be easy to find through the Portal pages; even though most users probably find what they need through the search. Do we need a Programming paradigm Portal? --Q (talk) 05:04, 14 March 2021 (UTC)
- It fits somewhere between Programming Elements and Design Patterns. It could be a separate portal for Principles and Paradigms for topics like data flow, functional programming, event-driven programming, object-oriented programming, SOLID, etc. --Logmanoriginal (talk) 11:39, 14 March 2021 (UTC)
- Created Principles and Paradigms Portal page and reorganized articles into it. --Q (talk) 16:28, 14 March 2021 (UTC)
