VIWeek or VIWeek 2020?

Can we assume that VIWeek will be a regular event that will also take place in the future? If the answer is yes, we should probably include the year in the title. --Logmanoriginal (talk) 18:20, 17 May 2020 (UTC)

  • @Logmanoriginal, we should probably assume it will be a regular event. We could move it now but it would make navigation weird. I guess VIWeek could redirect to VIWeek 2020 for now, until after the event is over. Then we would make a more generic VIWeek page.
Or we could wait to move it until after the event is over. I think there is an option when moving a page to move all subpages too. --Q (talk) 18:31, 17 May 2020 (UTC)
@Q Yes, when you move the root page it allows you to move all subpages in one go. Still, creating subpages and moving them later is not a good idea because people might link to them, which requires lots of unnecessary redirect pages. We can probably create VIWeek 2020 as a redirect page for now, add subpages for each presentation and later move the contents of VIWeek to VIWeek 2020. --Logmanoriginal (talk) 18:44, 17 May 2020 (UTC)
@Logmanoriginal, Ok, let's make the switch now before we get too many subpages or people linking to the subpages.
@Q: Perfect! Also, great idea to add red links for the remaining topics! (was going to suggest that, but you were a step ahead as always) --Logmanoriginal (talk) 19:36, 17 May 2020 (UTC)
The page links are stubbed out at least, even if the pages aren't created yet. --Q (talk) 19:39, 17 May 2020 (UTC)
