Miscellaneous Error Code Family
Below are all of the Error Codes that belong to the Miscellaneous Error Code Family (see Error List for list of Families).

-41117 | Report Generation Toolkit: One or more cells contain invalid data or data that is incompatible with the specified data type. Remove all invalid data, or specify a different data type. |
-41116 | Report Generation Toolkit: The header text you specified does not fit within the Excel header field. Consider reducing the font size of the header or reducing the number of characters in the header. |
-41115 | Report Generation Toolkit: The footer text you specified does not fit within the Excel footer field. Consider reducing the font size of the footer or reducing the number of characters in the footer. |
-41114 | Report Generation Toolkit: Graphs you create or edit in Microsoft Graph cannot contain more than 4,000 rows or columns, including row and column headers. |
-41113 | Report Generation Toolkit: You have not selected Visual Basic Project as a Trusted Source in Microsoft Word or Excel. Check the Macro Security settings in Word or Excel. |
-41112 | Report Generation Toolkit: Uncommitted changes appear in an active cell of an Excel worksheet. Select the cell and press the Enter key to commit all changes. |
-41111 | Report Generation Toolkit: You must configure the MS Office Report Express VI to generate reports from a template. |
-41110 | Report Generation Toolkit: You specified invalid Word bookmarks or Excel named ranges. |
-41109 | Report Generation Toolkit: You have not installed a printer. You cannot set headers or footers in Excel unless a printer is installed. |
-41108 | Report Generation Toolkit: You have not installed a printer. |
-41107 | Report Generation Toolkit: You cannot select a graph as the input appearance for this data type. |
-41106 | Report Generation Toolkit: Microsoft Word or Excel did not open. Make sure Microsoft Word or Excel is installed. |
-41105 | Report Generation Toolkit: The Microsoft Office installation on the computer does not include Microsoft Graph. You must install the Microsoft Graph component. |
-41104 | Report Generation Toolkit: You cannot use arrays with more than two dimensions. |
-41103 | Report Generation Toolkit: The Report Generation Toolkit does not support the data type you are using. |
-21583 | NIHWS: Operation canceled by user. |
-21582 | NIHWS: Digital signal attributes cannot be written to an empty waveform. Set digital signal attributes after data has been written. |
-21581 | NIHWS: Signal index is not a valid value. The index must be a positive number, and the index must be less than the total number of signals in the digital waveform. |
-21580 | NIHWS: Cannot append data to this waveform. The current waveform is an older waveform version that is no longer supported. Open and resave as a new waveform to convert to the new format. |
-21577 | NIHWS: The provided file access permissions are invalid. |
-21576 | NIHWS: This parameter combination is invalid for this function. |
-21575 | NIHWS: The requested binary width of the Read Digital function is smaller than the binary width of the waveform in the file. Use a wider Read Digital function. |
-21574 | NIHWS: The requested binary width of the Read Digital function is smaller than the binary width of the waveform in the file, and one or more valid digital signals is outside the range of the requested width. Use a wider Read Digital function. |
-21573 | NIHWS: The waveform data contains a value that is not supported. Supported values are 0 and 1. |
-21572 | NIHWS: The timestamp could not be read because it is invalid. |
-21571 | NIHWS: The number of samples to write cannot be negative. |
-21570 | NIHWS: There are no valid waveforms in the specified file. |

-21568 | NIHWS: You cannot read waveforms created with a newer version of NI-HWS. Please upgrade. |
-21567 | NIHWS: The digital data you are trying to read contains more than one row. This function only supports reading 1D digital waveforms. |

-21564 | NIHWS: The number of samples to read cannot be negative. |

-21561 | NIHWS: The entire waveform cannot fit in the provided data buffer. |

-21558 | NIHWS: Cannot convert existing waveform data type to requested data type. |
-21557 | NIHWS: The error code provided is out of range. |
-21556 | NIHWS: Unable to locate error resources. Cannot provide error code description. |
-21555 | NIHWS: An unnamed waveform already exists in the group. To create multiple waveforms in a group, each waveform must be named. An unnamed waveform is one whose name was either NULL or the empty string when it was created. |
-21554 | NIHWS: This attribute applies only to analog waveforms. |
-21553 | NIHWS: This attribute applies only to digital waveforms. |
-21552 | NIHWS: The write data type does not match the waveform data type. |
-21551 | NIHWS: The path cannot be NULL or empty. |
-21550 | NIHWS: You cannot perform an integer read on a float data set. |
-21549 | NIHWS: Memory allocation has failed. This error is likely due to a low memory situation. |
-21548 | NIHWS: The compression level is invalid. |
-21547 | NIHWS: File 'zlib.dll' was either not found or is the wrong version. Expected version 1.1.3. |
-21546 | NIHWS: Wrong version of 'nihdf.dll'. Version 1.4.x is required, where x is 4 or greater. |

-21540 | NIHWS: The waveform name string that was passed in is NULL or empty. This is only allowed when a single waveform exists in the group. Since there is more than one waveform in the group, the name of the waveform must be specified. |
-21539 | NIHWS: The waveform index provided is invalid. It must be greater than or equal to 0 and less than number of waveforms. |
-21538 | NIHWS: The group index provided is invalid. It must be greater than or equal to 0 and less than the number of groups. |
-21537 | NIHWS: This attribute is read only and cannot be written. |
-21536 | NIHWS: An attempt to modify the file has failed. This usually occurs because the file was opened as read only. |
-21535 | NIHWS: NI-HWS does not support waveforms with two implicit axes. |
-21534 | NIHWS: The timestamp entered is invalid. The date entered is not a valid date or the format was incorrect. An example of the correct format is 01:17:01.6234 AM 09/28/1992. |
-21533 | NIHWS: The waveform is empty. It does not contain any samples. |
-21532 | NIHWS: You cannot perform a Digital Write on a float data set. |
-21531 | NIHWS: You cannot perform a Digital Read on a float data set. |
-21530 | NIHWS: You cannot perform a Digital Write on an analog data set. |
-21529 | NIHWS: You cannot perform a Digital Read on an analog data set. |
-21528 | NIHWS: You cannot perform an Analog Write on a digital data set. |

-21518 | NIHWS: Unsupported file format. The data type of the data to be read is not supported or the data to be written cannot be cast to the type of the data already in the dataset. |
-21517 | NIHWS: A NULL was provided for the waveform reference. |
-21516 | NIHWS: There is no waveform in the group that matches the provided waveform name. |
-21515 | NIHWS: The waveform reference provided does not map to a valid waveform. The waveform may not exist. |
-21514 | NIHWS: A waveform by that name already exists. It will not be created. Use a new, unique name. |
-21513 | NIHWS: File is read only. It cannot be modified in any way. |
-21512 | NIHWS: The waveform reference was not found. |
-21511 | NIHWS: The value of the Number of Coefficients parameter is invalid. It must be greater than zero. |
-21510 | NIHWS: The waveform name cannot be NULL or empty. |
-21509 | NIHWS: The directory structure of the file is invalid. |
-21508 | NIHWS: There is no group in the file that matches the provided group name. |
-21507 | NIHWS: The group name string that was passed in is NULL or empty. This is only allowed when a single group exists in the file. Since there is more than one group in the file, the group name must be specified. |
-21506 | NIHWS: The string that was passed in is too small to hold the entire waveform name. |
-21505 | NIHWS: The string that was passed in is too small to hold the entire group name. |
-21504 | NIHWS: An error occurred while attempting to close the file. This error is likely due to a low memory or disk space situation. |
-21503 | NIHWS: An error occurred while attempting to open the file. This error is returned if you specified an invalid path, if there is a low memory situation, or if the file is already in use by another application. |
-21502 | NIHWS: The file handle provided does not map to a valid file. The file may not exist. |
-21501 | NIHWS: An error occurred while attempting to open the file. This error is returned if the file does not exist and the provided permission did not specify create new, if the file is not a valid HWS file, or if the file is already in use by another application. |
-21500 | NIHWS: An error occurred while attempting to create the file. This error is returned if you specified an invalid path, if the file already exists and the provided permission does not allow overwrite, or if the file is already in use by another application. |
