The Front Panel options are found in the Options dialog under the Front Panel category. These options provide the means to change some defaults to the Front Panel of VIs. Some of these options edit keys and values in the LabVIEW configuration file. These options include:

  • Changing the Connector pane terminals to default to required or recommended
  • Using the localized decimal point
  • Using numbers 1 through 9 on the icons of new VIs
  • Opening the control editor with a double-click on controls (rather than finding the Block Diagram terminal)
  • Changing the Blink delay time (used by the Blinking property of Controls)
  • Changing options for Tip Strips and default Label locations
  • Changing the default style for new controls placed {Modern, Classic, System, Silver}
  • Changing options of the Front Panel grid
