A Strict Type Definition (strict typedef) is a control that consists of one or more primitive data types (string, cluster, array, ...), type definitions and even other strict type definitions, to form a new compound data type. Each instance of a strict type definition shares the same logical structure and visual appearance and is linked to the strict type definition, so that changes to the definition are propagated to all of its instances.
