vi.lib is a folder beneath the LabVIEW installation directory. This is where the standard (built-in) VIs are stored (as compared to user.lib where the user's reusable VIs are stored). vi.lib\addons is a special location -- VIs and CTLs placed there will appear in the Addons category of the Functions and Controls palettes.
