Nigel AI Advisor, a.k.a. Nigel is an AI-driven assistant that is built into LabVIEW and provides support for understanding and editing VIs. It first shipped with LabVIEW 2025 Q3 and uses cloud-based models that are hosted on Microsoft Azure. Nigel has an undisclosed free-tier usage limit.
Usage
Nigel can be accessed through the Context Help window, by using the Discuss with Nigel feature, using the Tools menu option Chat with Nigel AI Advisor (shortcut: Ctrl+Shift+N) or using the Chat with Nigel AI Advisor button at the top right corner of a front panel or block diagram. After login with an registered NI account with active subscription, Nigel is ready for use.
